Sara: A Decade of Leadership and Mentorship

Sara leads our Global Talent Acquisition team within the Global Human Resources organization, where she and her team are responsible for attracting, sourcing, and hiring talent across all business segments worldwide. With nearly 20 years of experience in Talent Acquisition, Sara has been instrumental in shaping the recruitment programs that have brought over 26,000 new members into the Fresenius Medical Care family in 2023 alone. 

Sara’s journey with Fresenius Medical Care began 10 years ago, and from the start, she was committed to building a community where women could connect, share experiences, and support one another. As one of the founding members of the Women’s Employee Resource Group (ERG), Sara helped create a space for mentorship and collaboration. Although she no longer holds a leadership role within the ERG, she remains deeply involved as a mentor, guiding women both within and outside the organization. 

For Sara, Women’s Equality Day is a time of reflection and gratitude. She honors the progress made by previous generations and remains dedicated to furthering those efforts for her own daughters. "So much progress has been made across just three generations, and yet I want so much more for my own daughters," Sara says. Her commitment to gender equality is evident in her advocacy for equal opportunities, mentorship, and challenging biases in the workplace. 

Valerie: Transforming Lives and Cultivating a Culture of Care

Valerie, a Clinical Manager and Registered Nurse with Fresenius Medical Care, embodies the compassion and dedication that are at the heart of our mission. With a background in critical care, Valerie has spent the last nine years enhancing the lives of patients and ensuring the smooth operation of her clinic. Her motto, "I love people for a living," reflects her deep commitment to patient care and her role in creating a supportive environment for both patients and staff. 

Since joining Fresenius Medical Care in October 2023, Valerie has transformed her clinic’s culture, fostering pride and responsibility among her staff and making her patients feel truly cared for. Her leadership has been recognized and supported by upper management, allowing her to take on additional responsibilities, such as assisting with the management of another clinic and participating in an employee appreciation committee. 

Valerie’s journey with Fresenius Medical Care has been one of growth and fulfillment. "I believe this is absolutely the beginning of my peak career," she shares. She attributes her success to the company’s commitment to work-life balance, self-care, and professional development. Valerie’s passion for her work is contagious, and she has even referred several friends and colleagues to join the Fresenius Medical Care family.
