Purpose and Scope:

Responsible for the development and execution of system verification plans, protocols and reports for multiple projects by analyzing system requirements.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Authoring testing plans and engineering test reports using good documentation practices
  • Participating in system verification plans, protocol reviews, and other design reviews.
  • Working with product development teams to evaluate system interfaces, operational requirements, and performance requirements.
  • Participating in the design, build, validation, and deployment of effective test automation solutions.
  • Maintaining observation of production statistics to ensure production equipment and processes are effective and providing technical support to other departments as assigned.


Education Experience and Required Skills:

This position requires a Master’s degree (or equivalent foreign degree) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field and 2 years of experience with system design and verification for product development. Alternatively, will accept a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent foreign degree) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field and 5 years of experience with system design and verification for product development.


Experience, which may have been gained concurrently with the primary experience requirement above, must include 1 year of experience with:

  • Performing system software verification in support of medical device products;
  • Ensuring quality system compliance with FDA/ISO Design Control principles;
  • Working directly with the product development process / product life cycle and applying risk-based procedures throughout; and
  • Creating test plans / engineering test reports.
