PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Acts as a subject matter expert and collaborates with members of the Marketing Communications Department todevelop and execute attention grabbing design, artwork and layout solutions for both digital and print marketing materials following company brand guidelines.
. Utilizes a broad portfolio of graphic design software and demonstrates strong skills in producing print media and digital assets for online display ads, social media campaigns, websites, videos, and email marketing.   Responsible for the layout and design of a broadrange of marketing and communications materials as department or internal customer needs require. Supports activities of the Corporate Office as well as the Azura centers’ needs..
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
·   Utilizes full understandingof graphics design to produce and/or update graphic materials, as needed. Materials could include but are not limited to: booth graphics, newsletters, advertisements, brochures, display and banner ads, website graphics, social media images, Powerpoint presentations, infographics, posters, sales sheets, manuals.
·   Plans graphic aspects of project.
·   Recommends specific graphics to support a previously created brand.
·   Prepares materials manually or by utilizing graphic software to design and produce finished artwork.
·   Ensures that each design element is consistent with corporate parameters or previously created project elements.
·   Determines style, technique, and medium best suited to produce desired effects and conform to reproduction or customer requirements.
·   Ability to translate verbalized project elements into effective, targeted designs
·   Determines size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy. Selects style and size of type and arranges layout based upon available space, knowledge of layout principles, and aesthetic design concepts as well as customer specifications. Creates graphics that support product brands created by an external advertising agency
·   Prepares files for appropriate transfer to vendors; designer must be cognizant of all project file specifications including file format andillustration resolution
·   Determines the optimal file type of each project to reduce production time and/or cost.
·   Interfaces with internal customers to obtain and understand all project elements; provides advice and creative consultation if requested.
  • Produce digital assets for online display and banner ads, social media, blogs, emails, landing pages
  • Ability to design for all devices and screen sizes
  • Video editing knowledge for posting on websites and social media platforms
  • Maintain branded imagery on websites (Wordpress) with the ability to locate, utilize and format stock images
  • Maintain the Marketing Department materials library in an organized manner
  • Must have a great eye for color, layout, typography, composition, form and a thorough understanding of the design process.
·   Mentors other staff as applicable.
·   Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
·   Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.
·   Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments.
·   Reviews and complies with the Code of Business Conduct and all applicable company policies and procedures, local, state and federal laws and regulations.
·   Assists with various projects as assigned by a direct supervisor.
·   Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:
·   Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or related field required.
·   Advanced Degree desirable
Digital Marketing Certification a plus
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS   Minimum 5 – 8 years of related experience in graphic design, preferably in a corporate environment; with a Master’s degree 3 years of experience required.
·   Must be knowledgeable of all necessary requirements for online, digital,and print files. Ability to translate into proper software selection and file preparation.
·   Stellar knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Acrobat.
·   Very good knowledge of digital media marketing, including Facebook, YouTube, Vimeo, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram and stays current with and researches new platforms as they emerge.
·   Strong attention to detail.
·   Must be able to prioritize and multi-task when working with many projects simultaneously.
·   Strong communication skills
