Employee Spotlight: Cesar P.

Biomedical Technician III

Cesar is a Vital Part of Fresenius Kidney Care

Why do you enjoy being a Biomedical Technician?

I enjoy being a Biomed because it allows me to help patients in many different ways, not only by maintaining dialysis equipment but also by providing a comfortable environment where patients receive treatments and improve their health. Moreover, I feel highly rewarded when I assist patients in transitioning to Home Dialysis by assessing, testing, and installing dialysis equipment in a way that becomes just a part of their house furniture; it is essential for patients to feel comfortable and at ease with their dialysis equipment. Another area I am passionate about is teaching new biomedical technicians and direct patient care staff to the importance of water treatments, its components, and why those safety protocols have been taken to protect the patient's life.

How do patient interactions add value to your work?

Patient interactions are an essential aspect of my work, as they provide valuable insights into the needs and concerns of our patients. By listening carefully to their experiences and concerns, I can better understand their individual situations and provide more personalized and effective care. Patient interactions also help me establish trust and build strong relationships with our patients, which can positively impact their overall health outcomes and quality of life. Ultimately, by prioritizing patient interactions and taking the time to listen and communicate effectively, I can ensure that our patients receive the highest quality care possible.

What are some of the lessons you've learned while working for Fresenius Kidney Care?
