PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

Responsible for reviewing, analyzing and modifying systems including encoding, testing, debugging, installing and maintaining windows based applications. Collaborate with key users to support existing applications and implement solutions to improve business processes. Includes ongoing project-based development work, as well as day to day support of existing applications.

The Lead Systems Analyst provides analysis, coding and testing expertise within the CRM environment as well as the overall SAP landscape including NetWeaver, ECC, BI, and Enterprise Portal.  The position supports two main business organizations: the Renal Therapy Group (RTG) and Fresenius Medical Services (FMS).  Mentors and trains current as well as new staff members.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Designs, codes, tests and implements solutions to meet the business requirements.
  • A seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization; resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways.
  • Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.  
  • May provide assistance to junior level staff with more complex tasks that require a higher level of understanding of functions.
  • May escalate issues to supervisor/manager for resolution, as deemed necessary.
  • Mentor other staff as applicable.
  • Review and comply with the Code of Business Conduct and all applicable company policies and procedures, local, state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Assist with various projects as assigned by a direct supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Functional

  • Mapping business processes (requirements) to SAP WM and SAP EWM configuration
  • Knowledge of SAP WM and SAP EWM modules (Logistics Execution, Interface mapping tools e.g. SAP PI/PO and/or Seeburger)
  • System configuration (transactions, profiles, determination procedures, IC Web configuration)
  • Practical experience with LE Master Data
  • Practical experience integrating different SAP systems

Technical

  • Practical experience with SAP WM, SAP EWM. SAP LE Applications
  • Practical experience SAP ABAP development
  • Experience in designing different types of Views and context nodes and their binding
  • ABAP programming experience with the Business Object Layer (BOL) and the Generic Integration Layer (GENIL)
  • Programming experience enhancing BAPIs, BADIs, Function Modules, etc.
  • Experience with mapping and configuration of Organizational Structure. Knowledge of Business Partners and attributes configuration, like roles, relationships and screen settings.
  • Proficient with documentation with detailed design including Architecture Description, Data Flow Diagrams, Mapping Specifications, Mapping Rules, Test Conditions and Test Scripts.
  • Knowledge of Transaction Launcher and configuration of BI reports & layouts in Web UI
  • Good understanding of how business roles, ABAP roles and authorization objects drive the behavior of the Web UI and back-end processes.

EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's Degree required; Advanced Degree desirable
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • 5 - 8 years' related experience; or a Master's degree with 3 years' experience; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent directly related work experience.
  • 5+ years experience on SAP WM or SAP EWM (core requirement)
  • Experience proposing SAP solutions that add significant value and/or cost savings for business
  • Solid practical experience with SAP PI/PO, Seeburger or equivalent
  • Possess excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, be highly motivated and a quick learner. 
  • Self-starter and strong analytical skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to work creatively, analytically and independently in a problem solving environment.
  • Ability to multi-task with minimum supervision.
  • Capability to review event logs to conduct troubleshooting is required.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong team interaction, time management, and consulting skills.
